Today was our last day of school. Everybody had kindergarten friends, study buddies, and teachers sign a signature page. The page is 3 hole punched, so they can put it in their scrapbooks if they want. We also watched some of the teachers and 5th graders play a volleyball game against each other. It was a lot of fun but very hot. Lastly, we got one last recess and listened to a graduation story before they left for summer. I will miss everyone very much, and I can't wait to see how much they've grown over the summer. Thank you to everyone for the lovely gifts and cards. Your kind words are the best present of all.

Water Fun Day!
Today was water fun day. The students have been earning good behavior points for the past month. Thankfully, everyone earned all of their points and got to go to water fun day. :-) There were 5 different stations at our fun day. Here is a list of the stations:
1. Water limbo
2. Blowing bubbles (There were all different kinds of bubble wands and pipes here.)
3. Hot Potato but with a water balloon ball instead
4. Cup race (They carried water cups with holes in them over their head to a bucket. The team with the highest amount of water in their bucket won.)
5. An obstacle course where they pushed balls with pool noodles. Mrs. Sim sprayed them while they did it.
Lastly, they enjoyed ice cream sandwiches or cookies for a snack. It was a blast! :-)

Crazy Hair Day!
We have had a fun theme for each day this week, since it's the last full week of school. Monday was fitness day. Tuesday was bear day in honor of Mrs. Baer's retirement. Wednesday was silly footwear and socks day. Today was crazy hair day. I actually remembered to get a picture of the students today to share with everyone. The little girl wearing purple had a bunch of clips in her hair, unfortunately you can't see them. :-)

We'll Miss You Mrs. Baer!
Unfortunately, Mrs. Baer has decided to retire. As you know, she is the best music teacher! Today, our school had an assembly to tell Mrs. Baer how much we are going to miss her. We made cute bear ears to wear to the assembly. They said, "We love Mrs. Baer." Also, the kindergarten students were able to bring teddy bears today. The school also came up with a really neat song to show our appreciation for Mrs. Baer. You will see part of it in a video clip below. It was a bittersweet assembly.

It Looked Like Spilt Milk
Today, we read the book, "It Looked Like Spilt Milk." It's a book about clouds and the variety of things that they can look like. After we finished the story, I placed drops of white paint in the middle of blue paper. The students folded the paper in half. When they opened the paper, they saw very unique "clouds." Each student wrote what they thought their cloud looked like. It was a lot of fun. I have a lot of great imaginations in my class. :0)

Field Day!
Today was our Field Day! The weather was a little cool, but at least it wasn't sizzling hot like last year. We had a lot of fun. :-)
Here are all of the games that we participated in:
1. ball toss
2. hopscotch
3. turtles and scooters
4. funnel ball
5. Frisbee throw
6. tug of war
7. ball throw
8. ball kick
9. bean bag toss
10. 3 legged race
11. basketball
After we finished, they each received a ribbon for participating in Field Day. Also, they ate a quick snack before heading home because they were starving after all of that action. Now, are you ready for the pictures and video clips?

Fun Day in Library and Our Music Program
In Library, the students who returned their books for the year participated in a fun day. They watched part of the movie, "Earth" which is a great movie about three animal families journeying across the Earth. They really liked it. Afterwords, they enjoyed cookies and pink lemonade. We also rehearsed our music program for the last time this afternoon. I included a few pictures from that rehearsal. Later in the evening, we had our music program. The students did a wonderful job! I've also included a few pictures from the program tonight for any family members or friends who missed it. Enjoy!
