Happy Bear!

Happy Bear came to visit on Tuesday.  It's a great program from Family Service and Guidance of Topeka.  Happy Bear talks about good touches, bad touches, and mixed-up touches.  She also tells the students the importance of telling an adult if someone hurts them.  Happy Bear tells the students, "Keep telling until someone believes you."  I think this is a great way to inform students without scaring them.  Plus, they love Happy Bear!  :-)
We went into Mrs. Larson's room to listen to Happy Bear with her class

Field Day!

Last Friday was our school's annual Field Day.  We had many, many games.  It was so much fun and the students did a great job!  Plus, the weather was excellent!  Here are some pictures from some of the games:

I want to give a big thank you to all of the volunteers from United Way.  We really appreciated the help, and our students had a fabulous time.  Plus with your help, our parents were able to watch their children play every game this year.  Again, thank you!

Happy Grandparent's Day!

Today, we celebrated grandparent's day.  The students made cards for their grandparents.  They also shared songs from music class with them, and everyone enjoyed cookies.  We had a great time!  :-)
