We've started a gingerbread unit. In the past week, we have read many gingerbread stories:
1. The Gingerbread Man
2. The Gingerbread Girl
3. The Gingerbread Cowboy
4. Gingerbread Baby
5. The Gingerbread Pirates
The students are very familiar with these stories now. We've compared the stories many times. Also, we did a sequencing project with the story, The Gingerbread Man. We've also made a gingerbread glyph and made gingerbread ornaments. Yesterday, we made a graph about our favorite gingerbread stories. Our class favorite: The Gingerbread Pirates! We will continue with our gingerbread unit next week. More fun to come!
I managed to get pictures of a few friends with their finished gingerbread ornaments in front of our classroom tree:
Here is our classroom tree after the students decorated it with their gingerbread ornaments:
Here are two class pictures in front of the tree - one student was absent:

A Small Update
A brief update with pictures. I've managed to capture most of our celebrations on camera. Hopefully, life will slow down a little after the new year, and I will be able to start updating regularly with greater detail.
Here they are dressed in pajamas for our 3rd lasso party celebrating their great behavior:
