Field Day!

Today was field day, and we had great weather! Here are all of the games we participated in this afternoon:

Fun with Watercolors

The students love to watercolor. We do not get to do it too often, but it was a fun activity on a rainy day. Unfortunately, field day was canceled last Thursday due to this rain, but we are ready for it tomorrow! I will try to get as many pictures as I can. Also, here are two new class pictures to enjoy. :-)

Kindergarten Music Program

Tonight was our Kindergarten Music Program. The students arrived in their best clothes. Of course, I had to get some pictures of them looking so nice before the program began. Here they are:

Then, they headed to the stage, and they did an awesome job singing during their performance. I even managed to get two video clips of them singing two different songs.


All of the songs had great actions, so this is an attempt to show families some of their cutest stuff:





At the end of the program, the students followed their teacher outside, and were given their "diplomas." Of course, they still have to go to school for the last 2 weeks. :-) They also enjoyed cookies and we had plenty of photo opportunities. :-) It was a great night!

Happy Mother's Day!

In honor of Mother's Day, we made very special cards. They are "berry" cute, and I think all of you moms will love them. The card includes a picture of them and a special message. Some students wrote their messages and some dictated their messages to me and the para. All of the messages came straight from the heart. :-)

What Have We Learned This Year?

We changed our spring bulletin board today. Each student made a flower. Then, on the leaves of the flower, I helped them write 2 things they learned this year. Here were some of their answers: numbers, letters, count to 100, sight words, handwriting, telling time, and learning about money. Some even told me they learned to listen better, which is very true. :-) In the afternoon, we practiced our addition facts with ladybugs. Then, each student chose an addition fact and made a ladybug of their own. They turned out great!

Today, we celebrated M's 6th birthday. She brought in treats to share with us this afternoon. They were wonderful!
