Magnets and Turkeys!

We made turkeys this morning for our Thanksgiving bulletin board in our room. The turkey's feathers had color words that they had to figure out on their own. Three of the color words were sight words. They colored their feathers the appropriate colors and then cut them out. Then, they cut out a turkey and glued their feathers to the turkey. They did a great job ! Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of them making the turkeys because I am still feeling a little under the weather. However, we have another art project tomorrow for our hallway display.
Later, in reading groups we finished another "Sing to Read" book. It's called, "What's All the Fuss?" They sing the book, which helps them with reading the book. I'm sure you will be hearing it tonight. They illustrated all of the pictures in the book and practiced singing/reading it all week.
Lastly, they experimented with magnets in Explorations class. Lots of learning and fun!
