Today, we read a book about the four seasons. Then, the students decided which season was their favorite. We graphed the results and discovered that winter is our favorite season. Lastly, we learned a fun, new math game called, "Top It." In this game, the students play in partners. They take turns drawing from a deck of number cards (0-20). The person who draws the highest number gets to keep both of the cards. In the end, the person with the most cards wins. You could easily make this game at home. Simply write the numbers on some note cards and you've got the game! It's a great way for them to understand greater and less than.
