We had a fabulous Halloween at our school. First, the entire school went on our annual Halloween parade to the neighborhood nursing home and back to school. We had the Topeka West High School band leading us the whole way. When we arrived back at our school, we went straight to our classroom to party. The students cut out pumpkins and chose how to decorate their pumpkin. They picked out the style of eyes, nose, and mouth. Then, they glued their chosen pieces to the pumpkin. When they were finished, they had their very own jack-o-lantern. After the craft, we ate our delicious treats. Then, we played some Alphabet Bingo using candy pumpkins. Of course, we enjoyed the candy pumpkins after the game. Later in the afternoon, we carved a real jack-o-lantern! After I opened the pumpkin, the students took turns digging out the seeds. Then, I carved a face, and we lit up the jack-o-lantern. We love Halloween!
