Water-Coloring Fish

We did a simple, fun art project today.  The students water-colored fish.  Then, they cut out the fish and glued them to a blue piece of paper (the water).  They love to water-color, so they had a blast.  They also went to the computer lab for the last time as kindergarteners.  Please keep these fun/educational websites in mind for over the summer:
1. www.pbskids.org - reading, math, and science games
2. www.starfall.com - mostly reading with some math games
3. www.sesamestreet.org - reading, math, and science games
4. http://em-ccss.everydaymathonline.com/g_login.html  - This is a website aligned with our math standards.  They've played on it many times.  Parents were given cards earlier in the year with log-ins and passwords.  However, I will be sending home their computer cards with those passwords on it this week.  It's very important they practice the kindergarten games and begin working on the 1st grade games throughout the summer.  We don't want them to lose any of the incredible progress they have made.  Just dedicate anywhere from 30-45 minutes of educational computer time 3 to 5 times per week.  You can play with them, since there are 2 player games.  I'm off my soap box now.  :-)

We also celebrated E's 6th b-day.
