Adding with Jelly Beans and Library!

Today, I gave every student a small bag of jelly beans. Each student was given a worksheet that explained which colors of jelly beans they should add together. It was a lot of fun! Of course, we had to enjoy the jelly beans after we finished the lesson. In centers, we have a new game called, "Brown Bear - Panda Bear - What do You See?" This game involves memory, sequencing, and some reading. They are really enjoying it. Lastly, Mrs. Baker has been teaching us about fake and not fake books (fiction and non-fiction). They played a fun game about these types of books in library, and I was able to get some of it on video. Plus, they will be able to choose a non-fiction book next week in library. I have a feeling a lot of animal or insect books will be checked out next week.
