Life Cycle of a Butterfly

We have been reading many books about the life cycle of a butterfly this week. Today, we read another book that discussed the 4 stages. Then, we made a "wheel" where we wrote and drew the 4 stages on it. See the pictures below for a better idea of this "wheel." I told the students to quiz their parents tonight so be ready! In the afternoon, we went outside with our study buddies. Each group of study buddies was given some sidewalk chalk. The students used the chalk to write numbers, letters, words, and addition problems. They had a blast! Some of the 3rd graders were even trying to teach them multiplication. :-) Lastly, the students filled another lasso bucket, so we had a popsicle party today.
